HR 2064

GOOD GROWTH DEKALB RECOGNIZED BY STATE REPRESENTATIVES

On March 27, 2012, Reps. Karla Drenner, Michele Henson, Stephanie Benefield, “Coach” Williams and Rahn Mayo co-sponsored HR 2064:

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Good Growth DeKalb; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Good Growth DeKalb is concerned about smart growth for DeKalb County; and

WHEREAS, Good Growth DeKalb is a grassroots activist organization that takes steps to educate themselves about how government works and participates in the political process;  and

WHEREAS, citizen involvement is crucial to the political process, and as DeKalb County moves forward in rebuilding its economy more people, such as Good Growth DeKalb, are needed to educate themselves and become involved in the community; and

WHEREAS, Good Growth DeKalb consists of community leaders united to build a better community for everyone in DeKalb County and committed to the common good of serving the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of this fine organization be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Good Growth DeKalb for providing a forum to enhance their knowledge of the political process and involvement in their community.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Good Growth DeKalb.
