Board of Commissioners Meeting
Tuesday, September 24, 6:30 p.m.
Maloof Auditorium, 1300 Commerce Dr., Decatur 30030
Wear your yellow Stop Walmart t-shirt turned inside out!
At the Planning Commission on September 10, Fuqua Development presented yet a third set of plans for the Scott Boulevard Baptist Church site. Their attorney acknowledged they would need to go back to the community with these plans. Blackmon Drive neighbors and Good Growth DeKalb came out in force. The Planning Commission voted for “full cycle deferral” (60 days), meaning the proposal would have to go back to the Community Council. Their vote is advisory — the binding vote is September 24 at the Board of Commissioners — please come out! There will be opportunity for public comment.
