What does 501c3 status mean for you?
Your contribution to Good Growth DeKalb now is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
How can you claim a deductibility for 2014?
Donations must be received by Good Growth DeKalb on or before December 31, 2014 to be deductible in the 2014 tax year.
What if you’ve already made a contribution this year?
We have good news for you, too! Our 501c3 status is retroactive to August 15, 2012. That means you’re eligible to claim all of your 2014 donations to Good Growth DeKalb on your 2014 tax returns. If you donated in 2012 or 2013, we encourage you to speak with your accountant as you may qualify to carry over those donations on your tax return.
What if you donate through PayPal?
PayPal contributions are tax deductible as well. During the month of October, we will be changing over our tax-deductible monthly donations from Fund for Southern Communities (FSC) to Good Growth DeKalb. If you are a monthly FSC donor, you will receive an email letting you know the FSC account will soon be closed and instructions on how to sign up to be a monthly Good Growth DeKalb donor. We also will post this information on our website.
If I want to make a donation to Good Growth DeKalb in honor of someone this holiday season, will you send them an email letting them know?
Absolutely! Please allow at least three business days for us to process your request. Because of our travel schedules, we ask you make your Christmas and New Year honorary gifts by Friday, December 19, but we’ll do our best accommodate you after that date. Please email us for more information on honor and memorial gifts.
